IMAGING

Infrared thermography or often referred to as thermal imaging, is a non-invasive imaging technique used to measure the difference in surface temperature of an object being imaged. Thermal imaging, also know as thermology, is the study of heat. Thermal imaging can show areas of heat, infection, inflammation, cold & reduced blood flow in the muscular, vascular, skeletal, and nervous systems. Location of changes can often be detected before they can be palpated externally or visually identified.

Thermal imaging provides an opportunity for the horse, owner, and vet to identify and highlight areas of concern for further exploration.

We DO NOT diagnose any medical conditions related to the readings. To receive a diagnostic report, please talk with your vet about a reading.
We will be happy to send the images to you on a CD for an additional fee. This service is not to be used in place of veterinary care.
