I am an equine enthusiast. I have been riding and working with horses since I was two. I have always had a compassion and heart for the mind, body, and soul of the horse.

— One of my favorite quotes. There was a very special horse that started it all. This big beautiful quarter horse lived to please and helped me develop, learn and grown so much as a person. From the first day we met we had an immediate bond. I started taking lessons, joined 4-H, & began showing. I then became a very involved member in the county programs of hippology, horse bowl, & junior fair board, expanding my knowledge in the equine world.

 

I received my licensed practical nursing diploma which opened the door to many new opportunities. The education I received has become invaluable to many aspects of my life. I gained a better understanding of anatomy and physiology, terminology, medications, procedures, safety, wound care, and compassion. These skills will forever be an asset to my daily life. Through working in healthcare I found a deep connection with helping and caring for others. Although I loved being able to assist those in a time of need, I still felt something was missing. My dream was always to work closely with horses and be able to communicate with them.

 

I found the missing piece—an amazing man, who I call my husband, shares the same passion for horses that I do. We bought a small farm and started a business. We were then blessed with a beautiful daughter and she already has a passion for horses. She is our big helper on the farm. She loves to help with chores, groom her minis, and ride. A circle of life has started again with my little girl who has a bond and love for horses.  As a team, we work together to maintain the farm, care for animals, and we remain a very close family.

 

As a current horse owner, I am always looking to learn and increase my level of knowledge. I wanted to find a career where I could work closely with horses and still balance my personal life. I began researching many options and fell in love with equine massage therapy. There are so many benefits to the massage and the balance of the horse as a whole. I recently received my certification for equine massage therapy and equine rehabilitation therapy.
